North Edinburgh Arts in Pilton, Edinburgh is a busy community-owned creative space which hosts a multitude of activities for the benefit of local people, such as theatre productions, carpentry workshops, sports, gardening, social clubs and a popular cafe.
They are very high energy users, paying over £25K annually in electricity and were concerned that continued price increases may make the running of the centre unsustainable. They were keen to utilise their roof to generate as much electricity as possible. We designed a 34kWp Solaredge system coupled with 23kWh of battery storage.
North Edinburgh Arts managed to secure CARES funding to fund 80% of the installed cost meaning the whole system will pay for itself in little over a year!
